Flipped Clasroom

Welcome to my blog. Now I want to tell you about flipped classroom.

What is Flipped Classroom?

For 16 years I spent my lifetime in classroom. Studying lots of materials, learning lots of soft skills, and also improving my self to be a better person for now and future. Now, I join in CALL class that have lots of benefits for me and my future career. Especially, for this week I learned about flipped classroom. It is where student to the studying at home through videos uploaded from the teachers and do the homework at school or where they study. Personally, I never know that flipped classroom can use for teachers to teach their students. In my humble opinion, I thought that nowadays, the flipped classroom is very effective for teenagers in Indonesian classroom. The students get lots of knowledge, and more active interaction even though not face to face in the class.

Based on what I found in Wikipedia, flipped classroom is an instructional strategy and a type of blended learning that reverses the traditional learning environment by delivering instructional content, often online, outside of the classroom. It moves activities, including those that may have traditionally been considered homework, into the classroom. In a flipped classroom, students watch online lectures, collaborate in online discussions, or carry out research at home and engage in concepts in the classroom with the guidance of a mentor.

The flipped classroom intentionally shifts instruction to a learner-centered model in which class time explores topics in greater depth and creates meaningful learning opportunities, while educational technologies such as online videos are used to 'deliver content' outside of the classroom. In a flipped classroom, 'content delivery' may take a variety of forms. Often, video lessons prepared by the teacher or third parties are used to deliver content, although online collaborative discussions, digital research, and text readings may be used.

Lastly, I have already made a practice for you to help you know about grammar. Personally, I know  it is difficult for you to learn about grammar but hopefully with this practice, can help you easier to learn grammar. I think grammar is basic thing that you have to learn when you are in elementary high school. For me, grammar is one difficult thing that I have to learn. I always learn grammar but I still can not understand well. In my writing class, my lecturer always give comments about my grammar, he say that I have to improve my grammar. hahaha. I am so thankful because with this website (flipped classroom) I can learn about grammar deeper.

Based on what I search in google, Adobe Spark is an integrated web and mobile solution for creating and sharing impactful visual stories. Its goal is to empower anyone, such as small businesses, social marketers and students, to create stunningly visual content that engages audiences across multiple channels and looks amazing on any device. The new service is a part of Creative Cloud. The Adobe Spark web app seamlessly syncs with Spark Page, Spark Post and Spark Video iOS mobile apps, allowing users to create, edit and share their story from wherever they are, regardless of their design experience.

Actually, the advantages is that this application provides layout and themes that are variously interesting. The disadvantage is that this application uses fast wifi internet connection so this might be a problem to some people.

Welcome to my blog. Now, I want to tell you little bit about the definition about Hot Potatoes. Hot Potatoes is shareware from Half-Baked Software which is based at the University of Victoria in Canada. It is a program that allows you to make six different types of self-test exercises. Yeahh... of course, I will tell you how to use Hot Potatoes. First, you download Hot Potatoes. Then, you can choose the application that you want. After that, before you use the application you have to read the rules of each appllication in pdf, you can download it. Finally, you can try to use it.

Here the types of Hot Potatoes:

1. JCloze – is used to make gap-fill or cloze exercises.

2. JCross – is used to make crossword exercises.

3.  JMatch – is used to create matching exercises.

4. JMix – is used to make jumble exercises.

5. JQuiz – is a tool for making question- based exercises. Each quiz can consist of an unlimited number of questions.

You have to know gusy that this application is very useful for teachers. The teachers can make funny and interesting subjects for this applications. It also make teachers do not confused when they have to make subjects for the students. I think thats all my definitions about Hot Potatoes.
